About
Bio
After a successful acting career, starring in the Police drama SIRENS and hosting the popular Travel, Travel, Claude moved to Isle Lamotte Vermont, on the shores of Lake Champlain where he developed a model farm and founded a permaculture institute. His efforts led to his being recruited to teach the subject at the University of Vermont.
His knowledge and TV experience combined to his creating, producing and hosting a four-part series called “Regeneration- The Art of Sustainable Living” which aired over the PBS network and in 2007 received an Emmy nomination as the best environmental show of the year.
His passion and activism also led to his entering Canadian Politics where he ran in 6 elections and served as The Green Party’s Deputy leader form 2006 through 2009.
Today Claude works as a business Strategist with MRCNR in Montreal and delivers paradigm shifting keynotes and conferences to business people across North America.
A new vision
Optimism for our ecological future? Bank on it !
Today’s visionary business leaders, and eco-logical designers are learning how to turn wastes into resources, problems into solutions and costs into profits. They have made the shift in their minds and Claude Genest is specialized in helping you make the Shift in yours - Get set to do well by doing good because ecological is economical.
From the incremental successes of places like Wal-Mart, to the Whole-System thinking that has launched companies like Interface Carpet to the top, this is next generation Green Thinking.
Making the Business Shift means moving from “something must be done” to something you can do - elegantly, practically and profitably. It means moving from Corporate Social Responsibility and Compliance, to innovating new sources of income and efficiency.
The Business Shift is how we can redesign, repair and restore our businesses, lives and indeed our world - naturally. Beyond the usual rhetoric - beyond left or right, the Business Shift is way out in front where an emerging way of seeing is redefining the idea of “Green” and taking it to the next level.
