Green Party releases its first ever television commercials in Quebec
MONTREAL – The Green Party of Canada has released the first television election commercials in Quebec during the by-elections in Westmount – Ville-Marie. Deputy leader Claude William Genest, Green Party
candidate in the riding, is featured in the commercials.
The commercials highlight Mr. Genest discussing issues that matter to voters, such as the need for action on climate change and for a fresh Green voice in Parliament. He also focuses on the continued leaching
of PCBs into the St. Lawrence river.

About 100 volunteers and supporters gathered at the Sherbrooke Street headquarters of Green Party candidate Claude William Genest last Tuesday to officially launch Genest's by-election campaign in Westmount – Ville Marie.
“It’s a very exciting time for the Green Party, and it’s a special honour to have Elizabeth May with us tonight,” said Genest, introducing the federal party's leader.

Canadian Medical Association (CMA) report demonstrates need for action on air pollution, says Green Party Deputy Leader Claude William Genest
MONTREAL - Claude William Genest, Green Party of Canada candidate in the Westmount – Ville-Marie by-election, has re-affirmed that his party will undertake the measures required to stop air pollution at its origins and to prevent the resulting premature loss of life highlighted in the CMA report, entitled "No Breathing Room : National Illness Costs of Air Pollution".
